About Us:

Providing for Our Veterans (P4OV) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Veterans and caregivers, as well as military members and their families as they transition from active duty to civilian life. We serve as a vital bridge between these individuals and the resources available to them as they transition, helping ensure they access the support they need to thrive.

Our History

Meet Toya Harris, Founder of Providing for Our Veterans (P4OV)

Toya Harris, a military Veteran and Founder of P4OV, was inspired to act after repeatedly seeing fellow Veterans and their families struggling with homelessness in her community. In 2015, she recognized that she could have easily been in their shoes and felt compelled to make a difference.

Her journey led her to work for a nonprofit serving Veterans in 2019, where she discovered a critical gap: while resources existed, many Veterans couldn’t access them due to barriers like lack of transportation, limited job opportunities, or services not tailored to their specific needs. She realized that many veterans simply needed a second chance—and someone to help connect the dots.

Toya founded Providing for Our Veterans in 2020. She created an organization designed to guide and support Veterans and transitioning service members, helping them find the tools and opportunities needed for long-term stability and success.
